The Hanoi Youth Union and Students’ Association on May 11 kicked off the 2019 Student Festival with the participation of nearly 2,000 students from 60 universities, colleges and academies in the capital.
According to Chu Hong Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Committee and Chairman of the Hanoi Students’ Association, the event aims at providing Vietnamese students with skills and other necessary conditions, which are useful for their future careers.
During the two-day festival, young people have a chance to join practical programs and exhibitions, such as seminars on startups, creativity and integration; sport events; contest on Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thoughts; exhibition of science-technology products; "Vietnamese students with the country's sea and islands" exhibition.
The event also provides job opportunities for students as it will be participated in by some 20 big enterprises from Hanoi. The businesses all show their desire to recruit interns.
