Hanoi continues to offer free BRT tickets

PSNews - Hanoi Municipal People's Committee has announced adecision to continueoffering free tickets on the BRT Kim Ma- Yen Nghiaroute to people until February 5th.
Earlier, the local authorities had decided to offer free tickets for one month to commuters on the BRT (bus rapid transit system) Kim Ma- Yen Nghia route.

According to the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee, after 15 daysof operation (December 31st 2016 to January 14th 2017), BRT transported more than 130,000 passengers and received the supportfrommany citizens. The public awarenessis improved. Traffic order was well maintained.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Vice Chairman ofthe Hanoi Municipal People's Committee said, BRT isthe public transport model,which has beenapplied in Hanoi for the first time. Relevant units must monitor BRT operation regularly, and adjust the traffic to connect BRT with other bus routes to better meet the need of people.
