Hanoi dig through stone arches of centennial railway bridge

PSNews - The Hanoi authority officially pierced through the stone that had been sealed up Arch No.93 of the railway bridge along Phung Hung street to make the street open to the streets on the other side of the bridge. 
The pilot project has started since April 20 at stone arch No. 93, on the corner of Gam Cau and Hang Giay street.

According to the Hanoi Old Town Management Board, the pilot project has started since April 20 at stone arch No. 93, on the corner of Gam Cau and Hang Giay street.

This is seen as the first step of the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee to expand the Phung Hung cultural space in accordance to the master plan of the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee.

According to the Hanoi Old Town Management Board, arch No.93 was the first among the 127 arches of the Hanoi- Long Bien railway bridge being pierced through.

Earlier, the Hanoi authority had passed a pilot plan to dig through the first 6 arches of the bridge along Phung Hung street. After completing the project, Hanoi will evaluate the results before piercing through other arches.

In addition to that, the Hoan Kiem district authority also removed some facilities at the arches and renovated related infrastructure projects, cleaned the street to create a local cultural and tourist space.
