Hanoi introduces Traffic Safety Programme to school education

PSNews - According to the general assessment of teachers, students and their parents, the "Traffic Safety Programme" is suitable in terms of both contents and length, which would contributes to reducing traffic accidents.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced that it has completed the “Traffic Safety Programme” for Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and High Schools, with the aim of equipping school students with the traffic safety knowledge.

In fact, this programme has been approved and piloted at 32 schools in the area since February 2018. The programme includes theory and practice sections, with about 70% of the contents regarding road traffic safety and the remaining 30% on railway and other types of traffic forms.

Additionally, the programme also promotes creativity of teachers and students in teaching and learning traffic rules and safety regulations.

According to the general assessment of teachers, students and their parents, the "Traffic Safety Programme" is suitable in terms of both contents and length, which would contributes to reducing traffic accidents.

In the coming time, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will report the Ministry of Education and Training as well as the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee a project to formalize the “Traffic Safety Programme” as part of the curricular of formes 1, 6 and 10 at all schools in the city from the 2019-2020 academic year.
