The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports on June 4 has officially launched their website “Hanoidep.vn” with an aim to build and popularise the elegant images and culture of Hanoi people.
The website features five main categories including highlights of the day with information about ongoing events, cultural activities, life and people; interesting and moving stories about Hanoi people, among other information on tourism, sightseeing, arts, and gastronomy.
In particular, it includes attractions of the capital city in the past and at present, and introduces stories about Hanoians, their behaviours and civilised way of living. It is designed for users above age 16, including Vietnamese and those who live overseas.
Readers are able to contribute to the website, which is linked with portal and fan pages of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports and its affiliates.
On the same day, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports organised a workshop on developing culture and building Hanoi into a civilised and modern city until 2025, with a vision to 2030.
Speeches at the workshop focused on ways to preserve and promote fine values of Hanoi culture in the cause of national renewal and international integration.
