Hanoi opens hi-tech and digestive center

PSNews – The Hanoi Department of Health in collaboration with the Saint Paul Hospital on November 27 held a ceremony to open an international-standard high tech and digestive center at the hospital.

The ceremony was attended by Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Hoang TrungHai; Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien and Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.

According to Dr. Nguyen Khac Hien, Director of the Hanoi Department of Health, the center, with an investment of VND400 billion will become the country’s leading endoscopic surgery facility, satisfying an increasing demand for high-quality medical examination and treatment of people in Hanoi.

The center has 12 consulting rooms, 10 patient rooms and three surgery rooms, equipped with advanced medical facilities.

With the support of international experts and modern equipment, the center is expected to operate effectively in health treatment and early cancer detection, so  local patients with serious diseases will not have seek hi-tech treatment abroad.

According to Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, the Ministry of Public Security has started implementing a 5-years visa policy for all international professors working at the center to help put the center into operation soon.

“The 320 tests-per-hour system and high-quality treatment facilities could help save thousands of local patients with cancers per year,” Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung emphasized.
