Hanoi prepares to put Bus Rapid Transit into operation
Accordingly, Hanoi city People's Committee assigned the Department of Transportation Hanoi in collaboration with the Department of Planning and Investment and relevant agencies to urgently complete the bidding package CP07 cancellation, ensure to comply Law on Bidding and the investment credit Agreement on developing urban transport project in Hanoi.
These units are also working with the World Bank on agreeing the bidding package CP07 cancellation without renewing the Agreement; also settle plans to adjust the use of Agreement fund which must be consistent under regulations and to use effectively the produced BRT vehicles.

At the same time, the Department of Transportation in collaboration with Hanoi public security forces, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Finance and the Hanoi Transport Corporation to host and urgently prepare the conditions for BRT operation, ensuring traffic safety convenience for passengers, implement facilities at waiting stations, striving to bring faster BRT by December 2016.
Department of Transport in collaboration with the World Bank, Department of Propaganda, Department of Information and Communications and relevant units have to prepare contents related to the project in order to inform, communicate, create the unity among public opinions, which purpose to make BRT system involved in public transportation within Hanoi.
