Hanoi to build new urban area with 90,000 residents in Gia Lam

PSNews – The Hanoi Municipal People's Committee has approved the 1/500-scale plan of the Gia Lam urban area.

This new town covers 420ha in southwestern Gia Lam District, and comprises areas of Trau Quy Townlet and Communes of Duong Xa, Kieu Ky and Da Ton. It is expected to house up to 89, 500 residents.

The Hanoi Municipal People's Committee has approved the 1/500-scale plan of the Gia Lam urban area.

The project will be bordered by the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway to the Southwest, and surrounded by a 40m wide road system in its other parts.

According to the newly-approved plan, the new town will include high-class villas, high-rise residential buildings (25 to 38 floors), kindergartens, and schools at all levels and public works.

Previously, Hanoi had also decided on a 1/500-scale detailed master plan of the Tay Mo - Dai Mo new urban area, which consists of the wards of Tay Mo, Dai Mo (Nam Tu Liem District).The total area of the project is about 280ha, and contains 80.000 residents.
