Hanoi to launch 13 new bus routes
PSNews - The Hanoi Transportation Service Corporation announced that the company will launch more 13 new bus routes in Hanoi by the end of this year to meet the local demand and reduce traffic jams.

The Hanoi Transportation Service Corporation (Hanoi Transerco) has made plan to open 13 new bus routes by 2018 and implement e-bus ticketing system for the bus rapid route BRT01 (from Kim Ma to Yen Nghia).
In addition, Hanoi Transerco planned to invest in a parking lot project at Dai Kim, multi-level car parking steel in Ngoc Ha, Phuong Mai, Linh Dam and a vehicle registration station in Tay Ho district.
The corporation has been cooperating with relevant agencies to optimize and adjust bus routes in Hanoi including frequency and capacity of the means in line with the progress of the urban railway 2A (Cat Linh - Ha Dong) which is expected to open this year and in accordance with the bus development timeline up to 2020.
Earlier, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The has requested the railway management board to work closely with contractors to put Cat Linh-Ha Dong elevated railway into trial operation in August.
The project was also previously scheduled for a test run in 2016, but that was delayed to late 2018.
The Cat Linh – Ha Dong railway project has total adjusted investment of more than 20 trillion VND (886 million USD) sourced from official development assistance loans from China.
The 13 kilometre Cat Linh-Ha Dong urban elevated railway will have 12 stations and one depot area. The railway is set to operate trains with carrier frequency of every two minutes and a maximum speed of 80 kilometres per hour.
