Hanoian young people starts Earth Hour 2017 program

As part of a series of the 2017 Earth Hour campaign, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a ceremony to start the Green Journey – a walking and cycling parade in the area of August Revolution Square (Hanoi).
Despite the unfavorable weather, many celebrities arrived at the event and joined local youths in walking and cycling.

“This is an activity of great necessity, which aims to improve public awareness of environmental protection and call on people to do good things for the environment,” said famous actress Nha Phuong.
Other activities to celebrate the Earth Hour 2017 will be held later in March. The official Earth Hour Vietnam 2017 will be held between 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm of March 25 at August Revolution Square.
Particularly, the event will be broadcast live, which will be seen as a strong commitment of the Government and people of Vietnam to join the international community in saving energy and protect the environment.
