Ho Chi Minh City Children's Hospital to officially open in 2017
PSNews – The Ho Chi Minh City Hospital City Children will officially put into operation on January 1st 2017, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Health Department revealed on December 1st.
The hospital, on Binh Chanh district, HCMC, started building almost 2 years ago with investment of some VND 4,200 billion.
According to officials, the hospital will provide high quality and international healthcare services to people in the city and neighboring provinces and regional countries. The hospital will develop medical intensive techniques and expertise on a par with regional countries.

This is the first Children's Hospital that is equipped with modern facilities, including Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machine (ECMO), Hybrid operating room specializing in cardiovascular operations, microscope system, neural positioning devices for neurological surgery, Magnetic resonance imaging machine (MRI) for diagnostic imaging, and computerized tomography machine (CT-scan) with 256 photo slides.
Especially, the Pediatric Oncology sector of the HCMC Children's Hospital for the first time has a nuclear medicine department and radiotherapy department to only treat children. In addition, it also serves as a modern practical facility, in collaboration with Pham Ngoc Thach Medical university, to train pediatric doctors and experts for the city and region.
