Honda Vietnam increases CBU motorbike export

PSNews - Honda Vietnam (HVN) has just closed its fiscal year 2016 with a record sales of motorbike, reaching 2.17 million units, increased 7% year on year while its market share represented 69.3%. 

In the fiscal year 2016, HVN continued to introduce 10 new motorbike models including WINNER 150 - the one that has marked HVN's participation in the manual motorbike market.

Alongside promoting its sales on the domestic market, HVN is also trying to boost exports. All models of HVN are now qualified to export to other countries.

Over the past year, 131,000 complete CBU units have been exported, up by 2% from last year. Its export turnover reached 299 million USD, which included exports of complete units and spare parts.

In fiscal year 2017, HVN has planed to expand production of complete units to 147,000 units, up by 12% year on year.

Currently, HVN is operating 3 workshops namely foundries, gears and pistons, along with a spare parts center. The expansion of production facilities will meet the need of the domestic market, increase the localization proportion to 96% on average and to serve the expansion of exports.
