“I love my country” journey held in Ho Chi Minh City

PSNews – Over 1,000 young Vietnamese people attended the journey “I love my country” hosted by the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF) on October 20 in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

Within framework of the event, over 1,000 young people offered incense and flowers at the Nguyen Tat Thanh statue and visited the Ho Chi Minh Museum – HCMC Branch.

The participants also visited the exhibition “Harms of drugs” at the Youth Cultural House; visited and offered gifts to 180 children living at the Tam Binh Center for Child Protection and Care; and planted 1,000 trees in Le Thi Hoa Street Park, Thu Duc District.

“I love my country” journey is an important program to celebrate the 8th national congress of the VYF in the 2019-2024 tenure.

The journey runs through the 63 provinces and cities with various activities, including visiting and exploring historical and cultural sites, exhibitions, youth forums and cultural exchanges with local people.

In addition, the organizers also hold an online photo contest named “I love my country” to call on youths to show their love toward the homeland.

After HCMC, the journey will continue to take place in other provinces. The closing ceremony will take place in Hanoi on December 10.
