Illegal maps seized from Chinese company

A Chinese company in Vietnam was asked by the Vietnamese police to take down maps with the illegal “nine-dash line” in the East Sea (South China Sea) and hand them over to the police. The Chinese company were also requested not to repeat the violation.

The police of Cam Giang district, Hai Duong, found out that a Chinese company, based in Lai Cach Industrial Park, Lai Cach town, hanged 3 maps with the illegal nine-dash line in the East Sea that violates Vietnam's sovereignty over the sea and islands.

The Cam Giang police in coordination with the Immigration Police Office under the Provincial Police Department of Hai Duong summoned the company’s leaders and explained them about Vietnam’s national sovereignty over the seas and islands, noting that these maps seriously violated Vietnam’s laws.

The police also asked the Chinese company to hand the maps to the local authorities, and requested it not to repeat the violation.
