Indonesia commercial fair opens during APEC Summit Week
PSNews – The Indonesian Embassy in Vietnam launched the “Indonesian Products Display” at Vincom Plaza, Da Nang city on November 10.
Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Ibnu Hadi stressed that the fair was organized to promote the image and products of Indonesia as well as to provide information related to trade, services and investment activities of Indonesia; offer more opportunities for business cooperation, accelerate the signing of deals between Vietnam and Indonesia.
Vietnam – Indonesia bilateral economic relations have gained various encouraging outcomes. Two-way trade between the two countries reached US$ 5.6 billion and US$ 4.72 billion in 2016 and first 9 months of 2017 respectively.
The two countries set a target of $ 10 billion in 2018. The fair is part of the efforts of the Indonesian Embassy to realize this target. In the framework of the fair, the Embassy of Indonesia will coordinate with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to organize a dialogue named “Vietnam - Indonesia Business” with the participation of some 100 businesses from two countries.
The Indonesia Fair saw the participation of 30 booths displaying products and services of about 30 Indonesian companies, including real estate (Ciputra Group), automobile, auto components, food, beverages, fashion and handicraft products from Indonesia.
