As expected, Indonesia will hand-over 228 illegal Vietnamese fishermen by September 14th, considering as the first time of such implementation by sea.
This is the first time Indonesia has handed over fishermen by sea rather than by air at Sokarno Hatta International Airport - Jakarta.
According to Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti,  the 228 fishermen will arrive home quickly by applying this solution. Moreover, it helps lower the overload at Indonesia's lockups.

Indonesia has offered 3 ships to Natuna sea zone namely ORCA 1, ORCA 2, ORCA 4, in order to implement such return. They are expected to come home in the next 4-5 days. Currently, about 312 Vietnamese fishermen are in custody in this country's islands.
