Intersection connecting Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway with Viet Tri open to traffic

PSNews – According to the Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC), the IC7 intersection (Km48+890) of the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway was officially put into operation on April 1.

The IC7 intersection project, which was started from February 5 2014, cost total investment of 221 billion VND, to connect the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway and the Phu Dong- Viet Tri City Road.
Thanks to the IC7 intersection, the driving distance between Hanoi and Viet Tri city (Phu Tho province) will be shortened by 15km.
The Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway runs from Hanoi through the provinces of Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Yen Bai and Lao Cai. |
However, traffic means, such as “cong nong” (farm truck), tricycles, motorcycles, and rudimentary vehicles, are not allowed to go on the road section.

The highway, a particularly important project of the Kunming-Hai Phong road corridor, is part of the cooperation program among the six countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-region.
