Ngo Ngoc Minh, 20, was suspected of murdering technical intern Nguyen Van Duc, 21, and hiding the body in a gutter next to the apartment they lived together last month.
Duc’s body was found on May 5 when one of his friends visited him and discovered a foul smell from the gutter next to his apartment.
Autopsy results revealed that Duc had died due to a loss of blood from stab wounds to his abdomen and neck. He was believed to have died for about one month.
In testimony before investigators, Minh said he did not know when Duc was absent from the apartment, but later admitted having concealed his friend’s body.
There is an assumption that Minh and Duc had a quarrel that led to the murder.
