Japan funds over $ 640,000 for various projects in Vietnam

PSNews – The Embassy of Japan in Vietnam signed an aid agreement on December 1 to fund the construction of a model kitchen in Hoang Van Thu primary school, Lang Son province and 7 other projects within the framework of a non-refundable aid package from the Government of Japan.

The total value of the Japanese assistance reaches $ 641,634, which will be allocated to 8 different projects: building a model kitchen for Hoang Van Thu primary school in Lang Son; providing equipment and cars for mobile health examination in Thua Thien Hue; providing equipment for the Vocational Training School of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority; upgrading the medical station of Binh Lanh commune in Quang Nam; building classrooms for Phinh Sang semi-boarding school in Dien Bien; upgrading the medical station of Tam Da commune in Tuyen Quang province; upgrading and improving the inter-commune road in Ia Blu commune in Gia Lai province; the construction of Lien Son Kindergarten.

“The projects signed today benefit different sectors, from education and training to local-level healthcare and infrastructure,” said Japanese Ambassador Umeda Kunio.

In addition, as the projects will be implemented in 8 provinces and cities, they can contribute to reducing the development gap between localities in Vietnam, the Ambassador added.

The Japanese government hopes, through its assistance program for Vietnamese localities, to join hands with donors to improve the efficiency and significance of aid projects, which can bring a brighter future for not only one but many people, emphasized Ambassador Umeda Kunio.
