Japanese Prime Minister’ spouse, Akie Abe visit Hoa Binh Village

PSNews-Ms. Akie Abe expressed her desire to connect Japanese organizations with Vietnamese children with disabilities, contributing to promoting bilateral relations between Japan and Vietnam, during her visit to the Hoa Binh Village, the Rehabilitation Centre, in Hanoi. 

The Japanese Prime Minister’ spouse and her assistants arrived earlier than scheduled. Since her husband, Mr. Shinzo Abe, became the Prime Minister of Japan, Mrs. Akie Abe has turned into an iconic lady of national influence.

Smiles always shine on her face. It is said that she regularly appears on Japanese top magazines’ covers,  online interviews and trips all over Japan, listening to aspirations and issues of people from all walks of life.

In a friendly and cozy atmosphere, Mrs. Abe showed the children of the center great consideration, inquiring after the disabled children and asking questions to know more about their difficulties and the situation of the center.


The visit to the Hoa Binh Rehabilitation Centre was a sideline activity of the two- day visit to Vietnam by Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, his spouse and a Japanese delegation.

She was impressed by the effective treatment and good care by the doctors and staff of the centre for the disadvantaged children during the rehabilitation therapy processes. 

The children in the centre are divided into two main groups according to the methods of treatment, including movement and cognitive therapy. In general, all of them are well treated and cared by the center.

They all were interested in communicating with the Japanese Prime Minister’s spouse, and felt happy during her visit to the center. 

A child offered Mrs. Abe his just made bracelet. During her visit to the center, she also watched a dancing and singing program performed by the disabled children. The Hoa Binh Village is home to over 200 children with disabilities, many of whom are victims of the Agent Orange.

She showed her impression on the performances, using her phone to record the good moments. The Japanese Prime Minister’s spouse uses Facebook to express her views on various issues. The social media has helped to change her life, allow her to connect with all Japanese people, she shared.
