Japanese companies eye high-quality Vietnamese students studying in Japan

PSNews – 18 Japanese enterprises have joined an exchange with Vietnamese students studying in Osaka prefecture to look for elite human resources in many fields of mechanism, manufacturing, information technology, logistics and services.


The Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, Japan in collaboration with the Office of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Investment of Japan in Kansai (METI-Kansai) and the Japan-Vietnam Center for Business Support on September 11 held a meeting to connect Japanese businesses and Vietnamese students in Osaka, Japan.

18 Japanese enterprises have joined an exchange with Vietnamese students studying in Osaka prefecture to look for elite human resources in many fields of mechanism, manufacturing, information technology, logistics and services.

This was the fifth of this kind, providing opportunity for local businesses to recruit high-quality Vietnamese students studying in Japan as well as to support overseas Vietnamese students in seeking jobs at Japanese enterprises.

Together with 18 small- and medium-sized enterprises of Japan, participating in the exchange were nearly 130 Vietnamese students who are about to graduate from Japanese universities and language schools in the region, such as Osaka University, Osaka University of Industry, and Japanese language schools of Meric and Ehle.

Many Vietnamese students, with a command of Japanese or at the N2-N1 levels, hope to work their for Japanese companies to learn valuable experience from Japanese businesses, to develop their majors and to become bridges between Vietnam and Japan.

At the exchange, Japanese enterprises highly appreciated the qualifications, working capacity, dynamism and diligence of Vietnamese students.

Many businesses have taken advantage of the event to select and interview qualified candidates for their business and production facilities in Japan or their future investment projects in Vietnam. The Japanese businesses at the event said that they are fond of recruiting high quality human resources from Vietnam, which can be a very good opportunity for Vietnamese students studying in Japan.

Following the success of this event, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka in collaboration with Japan’s Hyogo prefecture is expected to hold a similar event on October 13.
