Joint wedding for poor workers

PSNews-On July 28, the Labor Union of Thua Thien-Hue province organized a collective wedding for 22 pairs of disadvantaged workers in the province on the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union.

Early morning of July 28, at the headquarters of the Thua Thien-Hue provincial Labor Union, the brides in nice make-up and Ao Dai were hand in hand with their grooms stepping out towards colorfully-decorated cycle rickshaws waiting outside the street.

The convoy of the 22 couples marched through Hue's major streets such as Dong Da, Ly Thuong Kiet, Le Loi, Truong Tien bridge, Phu Xuan bridge and then stopped at the wedding center at the Labor Cultural House of Thua Thien-Hue province.

This is the first time the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Labor Union has organized a collective wedding for disadvantaged workers in the province.

This special wedding attracted much attention from people of the ancient capital.

All 22 couples are poor people.Some couples have registered for marriage for 7 or 9 years, and one has registered for 16 years but they have not yet afforded to hold a wedding party for themselves.
