Journey Monitoring Device System detects nearly 9.500 vehicles violating traffic laws

PSNews–The Vietnam Road Administration revealed the results of an analysis on Journey Monitoring Device data in November 2016 and traffic violation settlement of the first 11 months in 2016. 

Accordingly, in November 2016, 71% of total vehicles data were sent to the data storing system ofthe Vietnam Road Administration.

Results of analyses show that as many as 59.107 time vehicles violated speed limits. Provinces’ and cities’ Departments of Transportation handled 1,180 vehicles with traffic law offences, holding back operational licenses and banning operation for 1 month of 1,109 vehicle, and rejecting to reissue operational licenses to71 vehicle.

In summary, in the past 11 months of 2016, local Departments of Transportation have fined 9,491 vehicle traffic violations, in which the agencies seized operational permits and banned operation of 8,192 vehicles for one month, revoked operational permits and banned operation forever of 1,289 vehicles, and withdraw transportation business licenses of 10 transporters.
