This move came after the provincial authority received information saying that the 75-year-old Japanese Director of Hokkaido Lotus company based in Da Nhim commune, Lac Duong district, Lam Dong province tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus on arrival at an airport in Tokyo, Japan from Vietnam.

Two weeks before his return to Japan, the Japanese man visited many places and met many people in Lac Duong, Da Lat city and Ho Chi Minh City.

Amid the complicated development of the pandemic in the province, the Provincial People’s Committee requested to suspend all dance clubs, bars, karaoke bars, cinemas, online game shops, beauty salons. It also warns locals against crowds and gatherings.

The Provincial Health Department is assigned to coordinate with relevant agencies and forces to promptly trace all people returning from Da Nang from July 1. All those who have contacts with suspected and confirmed COVID-19 cases should be sent to various concentrated quarantine facilities.
