Local airport staffs vaccinated against COVID-19

As of May 16, 14 out of 21 airports of the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) have deployed the COVID-19 vaccination drive for employees who directly contact with passengers, luggage and cargo.

In accordance with the directives from local authorities, the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, the Health Departments, and local Centers for Disease Control as well as the endeavors of ACV’s airports, ACV has deployed COVID-19 vaccination program for frontline workers, especially airports’ employees.

As of May 16, 14 airports of ACV have launched the COVID-19 vaccination drive for employees who directly contact with passengers, luggage and cargo, and employees who are at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19.

The list of airports consists of Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang, Vinh, Phu Quoc, Phu Bai, Can Tho, Phu Cat, Pleiku, Lien Khuong, Buon Ma Thuot, Con Dao, Cam Ranh, Rach Gia and Dong Hoi.

In recently time, ACV has proactively worked with leaders from relevant departments to prioritize COVID-19 vaccination for frontline airports’ workers who directly contact with passengers in order to ensure their health and safety, enhance travel confidence for passengers.

Some other airports, including Cat Bi, Chu Lai, Ca Mau are planning to deploy COVID-19 vaccination drive for their employees in the coming time.
