PSNews - Ice and snow covered Mau Son mountain in the northern mountainous province of Lang Son early this morning (January 31) as the outdoor temperature plunged to 0 degrees Celsius.

The Lang Son Provincial Hydrometeorology Forecast Centre said that the chilly weather will become even colder in the next couple of days, lowering the temperature there, especially at night.

This is the strongest cold snap that has affected northern Vietnam since the beginning of the winter. Like some other provinces, Lang Son has seen temperatures decrease sharply, by 7-10 degrees, on average.

Local authorities issued guidelines to show farmers how to keep their cattle warm during the winter. Accordingly, cattle sheds should protect cows and buffalos from rain and wind, and be airy in the summer and warm during winter.
