The Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held a project dissemination seminar themed "Project for strengthening medical service in Northwest provinces" on February 22nd, in Hanoi.
Associate Professor, Doctor Luong Ngoc Khue speaking at the event |
Associate Professor, Doctor Luong Ngoc Khue, Director of the Medical Services Administration and Director of the Project said: "Our project has been conducted in the provinces of Hoa Binh, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lai Cai and Yen Bai. After 4 years of implementation, we have established a Direction Office for Healthcare Activities (DOHA) network, and have saved patients' data on a software system."
Japanese experts actively provided technical guidance on archiving and analyzing data, contributing to developing and expanding this concept in the time ahead.
Thanks to DOHA, provincial general hospitals and district hospitals have closely cooperated in transferring patients from a lower-level hospital to an upper-level one in a convenient manner, and gradually improving professional capacity for local provincial- and district- level hospitals.
