Million dollar emergency room of the Vietnam Heart Institute inaugurated
PSNews - The Vietnam Heart Institute under Bach Mai General Hospital on November 27 inaugurated a modern emergency room with the interventional cardiology system worth over 1 million USD.

Director of the Vietnam Heart Institute Pham Manh Hung said that, since 1990, the Vietnam Heart Institute has always pioneered in applying advanced technology and machinery to cardiovascular intervention. The institute has also built up a team of leading experts in coronary artery disease, aortic pathology, congenital heart disease, pathologies of arrhythmia, peripheral pathology
Currently, the Vietnam Heart Institute is considered a prestigious cardiovascular center in the region, and attracts many international cardiologists, with the aim of exchanging experience and improving practical expertise and skills in this field.
Annually, the number of patients treated with cardiovascular intervention at the institute increases by 15%. In 2017, more than 10,000 patients were treated at the institute. This number is estimated at 12,000 in 2018.
The inauguration of this high-quality emergency room with modern machinery and equipment, such as ultrasound in the coronary artery, lithotomy, modern thrombosis machine, will better serve patients and meet their increasing needs for treatment.
Director of Bach Mai General Hospital Nguyen Quoc Anh emphasized, the establishment of the emergency room will help save patients suffering from serious diseases, complicated cases in terms of both intervention and surgery.
This modern equipment system of the emergency room was donated by Viet Thang Company while the Boston Scientific Company trained the local staff for free.
