Speaking at the medical supplies handover ceremony, which took place at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry on May 20, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung expressed sympathy for the loss of Cambodia caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The medical supplies, following another batch of Vietnam’s medical aid to Cambodia in April, will be transported to Cambodia’s capital city of Phnom Penh in a few days’ time.
Vice Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung also spoke highly of the effort of Cambodia in fighting the pandemic, resulting in a drop in new COVID-19 cases, and hoped that the neighboring country would soon overcome the pandemic under the direction of Prime Minister Hun Sen’s Government.
Dung also thanked the Cambodian Government for their support and care for the Vietnamese community living and working in the country as well as for staff of the representative agencies of Vietnam during the pandemic.
Cambodian Ambassador to Vietnam Chay Navuth thanked the Party, State and people of Vietnam for the valuable support for his nation in the fight against the pandemic.
