National flag raised at easternmost point of Fatherland

PSNews – The New Year flag-raising ceremony was solemnly held at the easternmost point of the Fatherland - Mui Dien Cape, Hoa Tam Commune, Dong Hoa District, Phu Yen Province on January 1, 2017.

The flag-raising ceremony was attended by nearly 300 officers and soldiers of the armed forces together with local people and tourists.

At the ceremony, the participants sang the National Anthem in unison under the Vietnamese national flag, marking a great start of the chain of activities to celebrate 2017 spring and the founding day of the Party in Phu Yen province.
After that Phu Yen province’s authorities also held another event for tourists to welcome and admire the first sunlight of the new year of 2017, shining in the mainland of Vietnam, and to visit the Mui Dien Lighthouse, which dates from over 100 years.
