Nearly 1,500 athletes compete at Run for Peace 2019

The 46th Hanoimoi Newspaper-Run for Peace 2019 was organized by the Hanoimoi Newspaper in collaboration with the Hanoi Municipal Department of Culture and Sports.

This is seen as a special event to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the capital’s Liberation Day and the 20th anniversary of Hanoi’s recognition as City for Peace.
Nearly 1,500 participants in the run included 160 professional athletes from cities and provinces, nearly 1,000 nonprofessionals selected from grassroots-level running movements, and 360 foreigners plus 12 foreign ambassadors to Vietnam.
On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Editor-in-Chief of the Hanoimoi Newspaper, co-chair of the event, and Ms. Tran Thu Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations also awarded Certificates of Merits to the ambassadors participating in the run.
The Hanoimoi Newspaper also handed over 50 million VND extracted from the run’s proceeds to the Fund for the Poor of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Hanoi.
