Needy children in Hung Yen receive free milk

PSNews - The Vietnam Rising Milk Fund of Vinamilk Company recently donated over 70,000 glasses of milk to needy children in Hung Yen - the final stop of its charitable journey in 2017.

The Vietnam Rising Milk Fund was founded in 2008 under the sponsorship of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and with the support from Vinamilk Company.

In Hung Yen, the Fund donated over 70,500 glasses of milk, worth VND 460 million to more than 1,500 students at Nhan Hoa primary school in Nhan Hoa commune, My Hao district, Hung Yen province.

In 2017, the Fund has donated 1.4 million glasses of milk worth 9 billion VND to 16,000 children nationwide. Over the past ten years, the Fund provided 31.5 million glasses of milk worth 130 billion VND to school students nationwide.

Ms. Bui Thi Huong - Executive Director of Vinamilk said the Vietnam Rising Milk Fund is part of the “For the Community” program that Vinamilk has always implemented in the past 10 years and will continue in the future. Vinamilk's mission is that every Vietnamese child can drink milk every day.

Besides the Vietnam Rising Milk Fund, Vinamilk has also taken the lead in implementing the program “School Milk” since 2006 costing approximately 100 billion VND.
