The program was held by the Salt Cancer Initiative (SCI) with the participation of leading experts and doctors in oncology of Vietnam and the United State, along with nearly 300 cancer patients.
At the forum, leader experts in oncology of the two countries introduced cancer patients to new technologies in the treatment, screening and early detection of cancer; similarities and differences between US and Vietnam in cancer treatment regimens; nutrition for cancer patients; measures to prevent and detect cancer in the 4.0 age; as well as diseases caused by cancers and supportive solutions.
The forum aims to create opportunities for cancer patients in Vietnam to access advanced medical technologies; meet and consult directly experts about diseases; and listen to inspiring stories with the message "You will not have to fight against cancer alone."
The Salt Cancer Initiative (SCI) was established in 2016 by Ms. Truong Thanh Thuy, who has been honored three times in Vietnam for her community influence and inspiration to the youth. SCI is the first ecosystem model dedicated to the cancer patient community in Vietnam.
The project aims to connect enterprises to cancer patients in order to provide practical assistance to the patients. Over the last 2 years, SCI has organized many programs for thousands of cancer patients across Vietnam.
