On November 25, the cold spell is intensifying. The North continues suffering cold or extremely cold weather. The common lowest temperature is 11 to 14°C but the temperature in mountainous areas would drop to below 5°C. In Hanoi, the lowest temperature is 12 to 14°C.

Frost has appeared at the Phia Oac Mountain of Cao Bang province early on November 24 when the temperature dropped to below 0°C.

Located at an altitude of nearly 1,900 m above the sea level, this is the first time frost has appeared in Phia Oac this year. The harsh weather phenomenon has negatively affected local residents. However, it has also attracted a lot of tourists who want to experience snow and ice on the Phia Oac.

From November 26, as the cold spell will weaken, the temperature in the North and from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue provinces is expected to increase.
