PSNews – In implementing the Prime Minister’s Directive No.16 on COVID-19 prevention and control, the railway sector only operates one train for each direction of the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route from April 1-15.

On the evening of April 6, the SE3 train, which is the only train operating from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City during the nationwide social distancing period, was about to depart.

Railway officers were required to wear protective clothes and medical facemasks, gloves while performing their duty.

The train is scheduled to depart at 9.25 pm. But hours earlier, may passengers have arrived at the station to complete medical declarations, body temperature checks and other necessary procedures.

All carriages of the special North-South train have been disinfected before passengers get on.

Passengers start boarding. Train officers also maintain the social distancing rules between passengers in the carriages.

During the journey, the train officers will check the medical declaration and measure body temperature of the onboard passenger with health issues.
