In the 2018-2019 academic year, the students have joined numerous extracurricular activities, including visits to historical relic sites, and Vietnamese-Lao-Cambodian student exchanges, he said.

The students have received optimal conditions to study and live in the city, he added.

Hung held that the students are not only good mirrors in studying but also strong factors for the reinforcement and development of friendship between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

Leng Samnag, a fourth-year student of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, showed delight to study in a dynamic city and receive support from teachers and fellow students.

Over the past 13 years, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City has honoured nearly 600 Lao and Cambodian students.
