Outstanding Vietnamese Young Faces of 2019 announced
The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) held a meeting on March 3 to vote and announce the list of Vietnam’s outstanding young faces in 2019.

The event was chaired by Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of HCYU and Chairman of the Award Council.
There are two officers from the armed forces in the 10 Outstanding Vietnamese Young Faces in 2019, including Major Tran Van Phuong at the Ministry of Defense and Captain Ngo Anh Tuan at the Ministry of Public Security.
Two other officers from the armed forces are in the list of the 10 Promising Young Faces in 2019, namely Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Sy Dung from the People’s Army and Captain Duong Danh Dat from the People’s Public Security Forces.
This year, 137 nominees in all 10 categories were sent from 39 units and agencies have sent 137 candidates for the 10 categories of the Awards. These include eight ethnic minority people.
The honoring ceremony will take place on March 26, the founding day of the HCYU, and the outstanding faces will visit Hung Kings Temple and pay tribute to the national founders.
