Promoting dissemination of insurance policies for ethnic people

PSNews - A seminar themed “Disseminating insurance policies and mobilizing local and ethnic people to voluntarily buy social insurance in Northwestern provinces” was organized by the Vietnam Social Insurance, Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs and Ethnic Minority and Development Newspaper in Dien Bien city (Dien Bien province) on October 21.

Nearly 20 papers presented at the seminar focused on the role, benefits and humanity of the policies on voluntary social insurance and household health insurance for ethnic minorities in the Northwestern provinces, which aims to ensure social welfare and intensify the supervision of the law enforcement of the policies on social insurance and voluntary health insurance in the region.
Many delegates pointed out difficulties and practical solutions as well as effective models that can be suitable for the specific conditions of ethnic minorities in the northwestern region and help raise the quality of health examination and treatment for voluntary insurance card holders at the local-level healthcare facilities and increase the number of voluntary health insurance card holders in the locality.
