Residents in Ha Dinh rush to have their health examined after fire at Rang Dong store

PSNews - The Municipal Health Department of Hanoi has announced to check up for free health of the people residing around the recently-burnt warehouse of Rang Dong company in Ha Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi.

Accordingly, the residents can have their health checked for free at the Ha Dinh and Thanh Xuan Trung medical centers from September 6 to 12. Additionally, the Municipal Health Department of Hanoi also asked first-class hospitals in the city to offer health check-ups and counseling for these people, and send their doctors and nurses to   the medical centers so as to ensure four shifts of medical workers on duty around the clock.

Some 100 residents, including children, have so far had their health checked at the Ha Dinh Medical Center.

For any people after the examination showing signs, symptoms related to mercury poisoning will be transferred to higher-level hospitals for further examination and treatment.

Earlier, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung assigned the Municipal Health Department to coordinated with the People’s Committee of Thanh Xuan district to mobilize doctors and nurses to be on duty 24/24 to provide free health check-ups for those living in a 500 meter diameter around the burnt warehouse.
