Seven Vietnamese universities enter Asia’s best list
PSNews – The London-based education consultancy Quacquarelli Symonds recently announced a list of Asia’s top universities. And seven Vietnamese universities have been named in that list.

The Quacquarelli Symonds on October 23 released a list of 505 top universities in 2019 in Asia. Compared with the list of 2018, two more Vietnamese universities have been named in Asia’s top universities of 2019, bringing to seven the country’s number of universities on the list.
Accordingly, the seven Vietnamese universities are Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vietnam National University, HCM City ranking; Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Ton Duc Thang University; Can Tho University and Hue University and Da Nang University.
In particular, Vietnam National University (Hanoi) maintained its position as Vietnam’s best university and rose 15 spots from last year. The Hanoi University of Science and Technology also rose by 30 levels.
HCM City National University slipped two spots compared with its position last year. Can Tho University moved from the group of 301st-350th to the group of 351st-400th. Hue University and Da Nang University are in the group of 451st-500th. Ton Duc Thang University appeared on the list for the first time and ranked in the group of 291st-300th.
To measure excellence among Asian universities, Quacquarelli Symonds uses 11 indicators to compare institutions, including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, proportion of international students and research quality indicators. |
