PSNews – On the occasion of the lunar New Year, Tet, a special market providing free items for working people and poor patients was opened on January 21 at Thong Nhat park, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi.

Specifically, at all pavilions, every kind of goods such as clothing, confectionery, cakes, sausage, sticky rice, green beans, fish sauce, cooking oil, meat, fruit, other household items and essential commodities, serving for Vietnamese traditional food for Tet, was sold at 0 VND.

According to the market’s organizing team, they granted about 10,000 shopping cards to needy individuals and families. With a card, the holder could buy 10-15 items for free.

All goods at the market were made by generous organizations and individuals, aiming to support needy workers and disadvantaged people to have a warm Tet holiday.

Many poor people arrived at the market early on 21 January morning to get items.

“The volunteers offer goods to us, saying words of encouragement and sharing empathy with us”, a man said in a moving voice.

The fair, according to organizing team, will last for two days of January 21 to 22 at Thong Nhat park, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi.
