Spring festivals’ atmosphere spreading in Vietnam

PSNews - The first month of the lunar year is considered as a season of spring festivals in Vietnam, which, according to historians, are demonstrating and preserving great national historical and cultural values.

Major cultural festivals include Tran Temple (Nam Dinh province),Tran Thuong Temple Festival (Ha Nam province), Tro Tram (linhtinhtinhphoc) Festival (Phu Tho province), Lim Festival or dual folk singing festival (Bac Ninh), Huong Pagoda Festival and Sai Temple Festival ( Hanoi) and many other traditional festivals, which demonstrate people’s wishes for good luck, favorable weather and success.

Festivals, for the Vietnamese people, bear human soul, wisdom, bravery and nobility.

The unique festival of Tro Tram or “Linhtinhtinhphoc” takes place annually in Tu Xa commune, Lam Thao district, PhuTho province.
The “Linhtinhtinhphoc” festival organized with the aim of promoting human vitality.
The festival is conducted in front of hundreds of participants, regardless of ages, in their beautiful traditional holiday costumes.
The Long Thong Bung Kham Festival is one of the biggest and most important events of Lang Son province. The event is organized annually in Dai Dong district, Lang Son province.
According to local people, the God of agriculture is to conjure up wind and rain to make up a bountiful harvest and offer the villagers a peaceful year.
Many gifts of food have been prepared to devote to the God, including boiled chicken, fresh fruit, wine and other traditional food
The Long Thong Bung Kham Festival consists of God of agriculture worshiping, traditional games, folksong singing contests, etc.

The An Duong Vuong Temple Festival takes place in Nhoi village, Dong Anh district of Hanoi.
During the festival, local people conduct a King An Duong Vuong procession from the Nhoi village to Tran Vu Temple.
Tran Vu saint, according to legends, helps the King in building the Co Loa Citadel. Every year, on the 12th day of the first lunar month, the King and his mandarins should go there to do worshipping rituals.
But because the travelling is quite complicated, King An Duong Vuong will ask a local man to impersonate him to hold a similar ritual.
In order to maintain absolute safety for the people, many police officers have been mobilized to the festivals.
