A special stamp set has been issued to welcome the DPRK–USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam, which will take place in the capital city on February 27 and 28.

The launching ceremony was jointly organised in Hanoi on February 26 by the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The stamp set includes one stamp of which the face value is 4,000 VND with the size of 43mm x 32 mm and one blog which is 222 mm x 114 mm. The stamp is used in the postal network from February 26, 2019 to December 31, 2020.

Using typical art language and tight color scheme, the stamp set shows the US and DPRK leaders’ hand-shaking on the background of Vietnamese peaceful and friendly bamboos.

It also depicts Vietnam’s flag and the bird of peace with the words “partnership for sustainable peace” in order to confirm Vietnam’s ability to host international events as well as its friendliness, hospitality and responsibility towards the world’s sustainable peace.

Under the stamp is the image of Khue Van Cac (The Pavillion of Constellation of Literature) - the symbol of Hanoi which hosts the second DPRK-USA Summit.

With its meaningful language, the small stamp helps deliver the message of “Vietnam - A safe and friendly destination” and “Hanoi – City for Peace” to international friends.

It also confirms the role of Vietnam as a United Nations member country and a responsible and reliable partner of the international community in maintaining peace, stability and development.

The stamp set was designed by artists Nguyen Du and To Minh Trang of Vietnam Post.
