Traffic Safety Year 2017 kicked off

The Ho Chi Minh Municipal People's Committee, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the National Traffic Safety Committee and Honda Vietnam held a ceremony on March 5th to launch the Traffic Safety Year 2017 with the theme "Building traffic culture for youths and adolescents" on March 5th at Municipal Theater Square.
The launching ceremony drew the participation of Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Mr. Khuat Viet Hung, Vice President of the National Traffic Safety Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Khuat Viet Hung, Vice President of the National Traffic Safety Committee affirmed that: "Thanks to the efforts of agencies and units at all levels, traffic accidents have constantly reduced over the past years.
In 2017, activities of the programme “Traffic Safety Year” will focus on promoting dissemination of the traffic law and tips for driving safety.
In addition, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Honda Vietnam signed a cooperation agreement to deploy a safe driving program for young people across the country.
