Two hospital of Vietnam win Gold and Excellence Award at AHMA
PSNews – The 17th Hospital Management Asia Conference took place from September 13-14, in Thailand with the participation of about 1,300 delegates from 28 countries. This year, two hospital projects of Vietnam won Gold and Excellence Award for providing outstanding quality improvement solutions.

According to Associate Professor Luong Ngoc Khue, Head of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment under the Ministry of Health, the 17th Asian Hospital Management Conference 2018 drew the participation of 120 Vietnamese delegates from 80 hospitals across the country.
"The Asian Hospital Management Awards is a prestigious ceremony which recognises and honours hospitals in Asia Pacific, running alongside the Hospital Management Asia Conference. Vietnam has submitted 14 quality improvement projects, of which, the quality improvement solutions of Hoan My Medical Corporation and Hanh Phuc International Hospital won Excellence and Gold Award", said Associate Professor Luong Ngoc Khue.
Specifically, regarding the category on facility management and financial improvement, Hanh Phuc International Hospital with the project “Medical gas safety management in Hanh Phuc International Hospital” won the Gold Award. Hoan My Medical Corporation with project “Doctor pipeline: Continuous Recruitment of Doctors for a Growing Healthcare System” won Excellence Award on talent development project category.
This year conference included two main plenaries and other 93 specific sessions, discussing on hospital management and hospital quality improvement. In addition to traditional topics, the 17th Asian Hospital Management Conference also mentioned about Digitalising healthcare: medical devices, AI, and big data; Value-based healthcare delivery and pricing – restructuring health care systems around the globe with the overarching goal of value for patients as well as Positioning Asia as the hub for medical tourism.
The 18th Asian Hospital Management Conference will be held in Vietnam. Earlier, this conference took place in Vietnam in 2009, 2012, 2016 with record attendance.
The Hospital Management Asia is an annual event of the region. With the aim of helping hospital owners, CEO, doctors, medical leaders improve knowledge of health care management and update the best hospital solutions around the world, the conference is considered a prestigious and practical event.
