Vietjet Air launches first direct air route between Hanoi and Japan's Osaka

On November 8, budget carrier Vietjet Air officially launched a non-stop air route linking Hanoi to Osaka City in Japan, contributing to the tourism and trade development between the two countries and in the region.

According to Vietjet Air, Hanoi-Osaka flights will use the A321 aircraft, depart from Hanoi at 1.40AM and arrive in Osaka at 7.50AM (local time). Meanwhile flights from Osaka will take off at 9.20AM and land on in Hanoi at 1.05pm.

Vietjet Air is offering thousand of tickets at zero VND to mark the opening of the new Hanoi-Osaka route from November 7 to 9.

A “Kagami Biraki” traditional Japanese ritual at Kansai Airport took place to mark the opening ceremony on November 8. Passengers on a flight from Osaka to Hanoi enjoyed a special Vietnamese traditional dance and received many interesting gifts such as Vietnamese brocade wallets and Vietjet Air hats.

Vietnam’s Vietjet Aviation announced the opening of three air routes linking Vietnam with Japan at the Vietnam-Japan Investment Promotion Conference in Tokyo on October 10 within the framework of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s official visit to Japan.

The route includs Hanoi-Osaka (starting from November 8, 2018), Ho Chi Minh City-Osaka (from December 14, 2018), and Hanoi-Tokyo (from January 11, 2019).
