Vietnam International Water Week attracts thousands in Hanoi

The Vietnam International Water Week (VACI 2018) took place in Hanoi since March 4 to 8, featuring the participation of 20 countries with a plenary session “Water and Sustainable Development Goals”.

The VACI 2018, as part of the activities to celebrate the World Water Day (March 22), took place from March 4 to 8, featuring the participation of 20 countries with a plenary session “Water and Sustainable Development Goals”; and 23 workshops with nearly 500 scientific papers focusing on a number of important issues related to water resources.

The event's aim is to provide opportunities for businesses to express their opinions and commitment to protecting water resources and the environment, towards the aim of building and maintaining sustainable economic development in the water resources sector. 

According to organizers, the four-day event saw the participations of nearly 1000 international experts and thousands of visitors.

The VACI 2018, featuring the participation of 20 countries with a plenary session “Water and Sustainable Development Goals”; and 23 workshops with nearly 500 scientific papers focusing on a number of important issues related to water resources.

Under the framework of the event, an exhibition, displaying 70 posters and 20 booths on technology products in the field of water resources, were organized.

In addition, the event also includeed two courses, "Application of satellite technology in water resources management" and "Monitoring and forecasting of water resources".
