Vietnam, New Zealand boost customs cooperation

PSNews – General Director of the Vietnam General Department of Customs Nguyen Van Can and Acting Comptroller of New Zealand Customs Christine Stevenson on November 6 signed a cooperation program in the period 2017-2019.

General Director of the Vietnam General Department of Customs Nguyen Van Can highly appreciated the technical assistance given by the New Zealand Customs to the Vietnam Customs Service in 3 areas: advance ruling; code classification and application; and AEO management and implementation.
These cooperation contents will help the Vietnam Customs develop its capacity, which allows the service to ensure state revenues while effectively implementing the commitments of signed trade deals.
The Vietnam General Director of Customs also pledged to direct subordinated units of the Vietnam Customs to work with New Zealand Customs experts to implement the cooperation contents effectively, bringing practical benefits to the Vietnam Customs.
