The Vietnam Maritime Administration has issued a dispatch requiring the relevant units to focus on checking the itinerary of travelers to Vietnam by sea on cruise ships, in response to the spread of the novel Corona virus disease (Covid-19).

Specifically, the Vietnam Maritime Administration requires businesses in charge of operating ports to strengthen control of ships and other means carrying people and goods in and out of seaports, especially tourist cruise ships.

At the same time, all units should proactively work with travel agents and businesses, coordinate with the health quarantine authorities to carry out medical quarantine measures for ships having already arrived and scheduled to arrive in. They are responsible for health declaration of all crew members and passengers at the seaports.

The Vietnam Maritime Administration asked all ports to promptly report their work as recommended by the Ministry of Health and the International Maritime Organization, including the information about the arrival of ships as well as crew members and passengers that have visited ports in China and other epidemic areas in within 14 days.
