Vietnamese goalkeeper presents Man of the Match award to Ivan Perisic

Vietnamese goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung presented the Man of the Match award to Croatian player Ivan Perisic after the after the FIFA World Cup semi-final match between England and Croatia on July 12.

Bui Tien Dung represented a sponsor to hand the award to Ivan Perisic (Croatia) in the second semi-final of the 2018 World Cup, which saw his team beat England 2-1 after extra time on July 12 night in Moscow.

Perisic was selected as the most outstanding player in the match as he helped to beat England 2-1. Perisic equalized against England with a goal that won fans' loud applauses 68 minutes into the game and provided an assist for Croatia’s second goal during extra time, securing his team victory.

Dung left Vietnam on July 8 on the invitation by the main sponsor of World Cup to present the Man of the Match award for the England-Croatia match. Along with Tien Dung to Russia, there are other famous names such as legend Le Cong Vinh and U-23 striker Ha Duc Chinh. This is a part of the World Cup cheering campaign. After every match, the player was interviewed and given the Man of the Match award.

Dung had shared a short video clip showing himself watching the England-Croatia match with the caption, "Can you believe this." He then took a picture with Perisic after presenting the award.

Bui Tien Dung was one of the biggest stars emerging after Vietnam earned the historical second place finish at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship thanks to both his talent and his looks.

The 21-year-old goalie became the hero in the penalty shootout for Vietnam as he kept out efforts from Iraqi and Qatari, paving the way for his side into the final, where the Young Golden Stars lost 1-2 to Uzbekistan in extra time.
